It seems that the burnt_result inserter thing isn't working as intended...
For context, I'm selecting the bottom-center machine. Its being fed fuel with a burnt_result that I'm then expecting for it to be pulled from.
EDIT 1: It only seems to work if the stack size of the inserter is set to 1.

Re: Burnt_Result_Inventory not being pulled from
Thanks for the report. You need to empty the normal output slot before the inserter will pull from the burnt result slot.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.
Re: Burnt_Result_Inventory not being pulled from
Normal output is a fluid that inserter can't touch in any way.
And making sure that it's emptied might get problematic - would need to have storage for the fluid that has space and pump it out - seems a bit convoluted as workaround for inserter not ignoring fluids on output.

With any stack size higher than 1 it doesn't work?garr150354839 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 01, 2021 9:57 pm EDIT 1: It only seems to work if the stack size of the inserter is set to 1.
And have you tried using a filter inserter?

Can you provide a mod and or save that reproduces this? I have a fix but I'd like to test it with this exact setup to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Re: [Rseding91] Burnt_Result_Inventory not being pulled from
Sorry for the late reply.
Seems like the mod that made this issue happen updated so as not to use a burner energy-source for that. I do happen to have the relevant save, just wanted to mention that ahead of time. A mod that gives a burnt_result to a vanilla fuel is BurntExtractor (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/BurntExtractor). There's a mod option within that mod that makes the burnt_result of coal be stone. There, the classic stone furnace array now gives 48 test sites.
