Best mods that don't affect vanilla too much?

Post by Purpzie »

Hello!

I'm the kind of person that likes to stay as close to vanilla as possible, but of course some mods are just too good to ignore. My current mod list is full of mostly small additions that don't change the base game a lot, but are still worthwhile or essential to have imo. Are there any more mods similar to this that aren't already in the list below?

I currently have these installed:
- Clean Floor
- Color-Coded Planners
- Darker Lamps
- Delete Empty Chunks
- Factory Planner
- P.U.M.P.
- Pump Anywhere
- Quickbar Templates
- Recipe Book
- Renamer
- Silent Belts
- Waterfill
- Tapeline
- Wire Shortcuts

That's a good selection. I'd add:
- Even Distribution
- Shortcuts
- VehicleSnap
- Fill4Me
- Spidertron Enhancements
- Spidertron Patrols

[Disclaimer: I wrote the last 2 :D]

It's a fun extension and doesn't break anything in terms of regular vanilla progression since it's only would be actually viable only in end-end game and with post rocket factory:

Pretty much the opposite from the Lazy Bastard achievement, while still keeping full control (unlike with HandyHands).

HotCraft (directly handcraft items by hotkey)
Directly handcraft items from your inventory or toolbelt by hotkey, without even browsing the recipes list: just grab a stack in your hand and use ALT-1, ALT-2 or ALT-3 to queue 1,5 or 10 more items for handcrafting.
1.0.3 - also craft an item you selected with the pipette tool if you don't have any of that item in your inventory (thx to AsherMaximum)
Though HandyHands together with Schall Uncraft is also an option I guess ?

I'd say Realistic Reactors. Propably my favourite mod of all time, and fits very well with vanilla gameplay.
Pushbuttons is also very nice.
Pony/Furfag avatar? Opinion discarded.

In the already mentioned Picker Inventory Tools, auto-limiting :
- wooden chests to 1 stack
- iron chests to either 2, 5, or 10 stacks (I like 10 stacks for 100 barrels.)
