Construction Bots Storage Chest Selection

Hi, I was wondering why my construction robots are choosing to fly all the way to the other side of my factory to drop off deconstruction items instead of the freshly built roboport/storage chest i've placed right next to the area in question. Is there a way to fix this or change the selection of which chest the items go to?

Not really on topic, but is there a reason you put such a big white image, while the map you want to show us uses only a quarter of its surface ?
Most of the time, if there are storage chests within the logistic network where some items are already present, the robots will chose them to dump the same items over empty storage chests.

Sorry, did it in paint without really thinking about it.
Also, I've done some research about it and how it may be because there are already the existing items in the chest. I put an inserter between every passive and active chest to empty the passives, have confirmed that the farther chests are absolutely empty when they decide to use that chest, and saw on one post somewhere that it's preference due to the active player manually placing an item of the sort onto that chest. I manually deconstructed the chests, placed a fresh one and they still choose to drop them off at the farthest chests.

Also, an additional thing i have seen is after redesigning my crafting setup, for some reason these inserters and crafters do not want to accept electricity. Why?

Sorry, did it in paint without really thinking about it.

You can avoid this by setting the image size in Paint to something tiny like 10x10 pixels by default. Then it'll expand when you paste something in it.

Bots can't place items in passive provider chests at all.

Sorry again, was mixing up the names for the chests. what i meant was STORAGE chests, edited OP to reflect that
but yeah, all my storage chests are empty due to inserters immediately moving contents to a passive provider chest

This sounds to me like an issue of trying to use one large bot network instead of several, discrete ones.

Are those Storage Chests filtered for specific items? That may cause (or solve) your issue.
