Server UPS spikes

I just started a server and every minute or so the UPS increases exponentially from 60 up to about 450, before dropping back down to 60. What is going on and how do I fix it?

Is the system clock on your server functioning and set to the right date and time?

Please provide the log file and what OS, hardware and version of Factorio you're running on for both the server and the client.

try disabling vsync
