Is this good or bad? I don't even have a reference point...

I remember how Intel was the best for years with Factorio.
It seems like Zen 3 is the new king and all the top scores are 5800x, 5600x and 5900x.
There's not much noise about that, that's weird.

Everything is relative, according to the great theory of Einstein. And yes, the new AMD processors show excellent performance in Factorio, but besides a good processor, speed memory is also important. And the amount of this memory, oddly enough.
Therefore, I have some doubts that, for example, my vanilla map on your system with AMD will show more UPS than I have with Intel. If it starts at all :))
I now have an average UPS ~ 46.5.
Check it out? :))

2.6 GB  Wow

OK, my 32 GB RAM is full and 20 GB swap, too.
Still loading since 5min.
How much RAM do you have?

The save is on version 1.1.21, maybe without update to 1.1.30, it would be easier to load

Already 2.66 GB

I have 48 GB of memory installed, for this game this is already not enough: ((
Uses all the RAM, and how much is from the paging file, it's hard to say for sure)))

If I stand in one place, the UPS on average fluctuates between 46-46.2
When moving and further development, a little more than 40, somewhere 41-43.
Uploaded the latest version to the repository.
Vanilla, no mods. Latest version 1.1.30
I would like to see the results at 5800x-5900x.
At 5600 I think they will be comparable to mine.

I had 13 UPS with AMD 5600 and 32 GB, but im pretty sure, its because of the lacking memory.

Update: After waiting a bit and set autosave to 60 min. it gets better and better. Now its at 38 UPS

38 is closer to the truth :)

That is why I said above - everything is relative, even with a good processor and with a small amount of RAM or slow timings - there is nothing to expect impressive results.
Let's wait for the owners of new processors with the results :)
And from memory - when they tell me that 16-32 GB of memory is enough for any games - I just smile. Silently :))

Ok, that save is also very impressive. Good job!
That's an eye opener on what the game can handle
