Time travel (sort of)

Post by DragonPox90210 »

No im not saying to convert the car into a delorian so you can go back in time. What im suggesting is a Temporal Time Annomally (TTA). It would be generated by a large device and would only work within a limited range around the device. This field would require massive ammounts of energy to create and sustain and so only one anomally can be created from one machine (more likely one anomally period- must thing about space time continum an all :P). These fields could speed up or slow down time within them. The speed up time setting would be great for speeding up the slower belts (or speeding up speedy belts), speeding up smelting and crafting time and of course movement. The pros are increased productivity but the cons are faster more destructive creepers. The slow down time setting slows produtivity but also slows creepers, if one could bottle-neck them into the rift you could dispatch them easily as only things within the field are affected. Anyway this is probably less time travel and more time manipulation but if anyone has any idea how they could go back in time while keeping with the flow of the game please comment :) love the game, and cant wait for the next update!

This may be cool, but I dont think it should be added, I like the idea, but it doesnt fit much.

Please explain, I don't think it would be unfitting. "Alien technology" ;)

I mean the day-night cycle of humans.
Being in the time field would totally throw off the bio-rhythms the humans have, because it would randomly shorten/expand days/nights.

This has been implemented with speed beacons

(And in part concrete and slowdown capsules)

Hm, it’s hard to compare such old idea with current implementation. But due to the age I agree somehow.
Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.
