[1.1.25] Application hangs

Hey,
this never happend to me.

I didnt played for some time, came back and the game hangs everytime... while in mod screen.. while in options... while loading a map... just no reaction.

I know i could try without mods, but i guess factorio is not supposed to hang (while not even ingame) even if a mod does somethign stupid, right?

Just for the lols i tried without mods, what the hell is going on? :( It literally hangs just for browsing in options or main menue after 1-2 minutes...

I did play now for i dont know 2 hours without a signle issue (didnt changed anything)

Before it was again not working, i restartet and now its working.

But this problem is still not fixxed. How can i help to find out what the problem might be?

Only thing i found mysterios is that task manager shows 100% 3D when factorio starts to hang, while normally its utilized around 10% (or atleast <50%) whiel playing factorio...

Is this game somehow not compatible with latest driver and or RTX 3080? GSYNC?

Okay game is running (seablocK) for nearly 10 hours or so. not a single problem. i will post when it happens again.

okay 2. day and it still works. wth. maybe some windows update or something. I did not change anythign from my perspective.

Thanks for the report.
This is not wide-spread issue, as far as I know, you are only one who had this issue, and since it seems to be fixed on your computer, I don't know how to find out what was causing it. I checked, and it seems AppHang doesn't create core dump, which is probably what we would need to diagnose this further.

I have over 2000h in factorio.

It never happend before and never again.

Sadly I could not find out what the problem was. I can only suspect some windows update or something. As soon as this happend i googled for it and found some posts like try disable that feature or set that to that (graphic options) which i tried, because it didnt helped, i set everything as i had it before.

Because this problem (before i posted this) occured on different days with mods / without mods, i also checked steam integrity.

Anyway this seems to be no longer to be a problem.
