When is this version available on steam?

(1.1.22 crashes for me on mac.)

On Steam you can set that you want the 1.1.21 beta, so you can continue your game. (My pc verson crashed in 1.1.22 the menu screen all on its own after a minute or so - you're not alone. Check the bug section viewforum.php?f=47)
