Given the removal of the only minable simple-entity wreckage (minable-wreckage), there are some issues with alternatives given their inconsistencies.
simple-entity such as small-ship-wreck, medium-ship-wreck and big-ship-wreck-#, are not minable by default, and can only be made that way by changing the prototype, whereas simple-entity-with-owner / crash-site-spaceship-small-#, is minable by default and could be set to not minable if needed.
-> Making these remaining simple-entity items all be minable by default rather than disabled, then have the scenario set them to not minable if needed would allow more functionality for scenario building.
simple-entity such as small-ship-wreck, medium-ship-wreck and big-ship-wreck-#, when made minable (by a mod) can show the player mining animation when mined, whereas crash-site-spaceship-small-#, when mined is not showing the player mining animation similar to a container.
-> These entities which are not containers are not showing the animation, and this probably should be fixed to allow consistency.
Frankly I feel the character should be able to mine any item with animation unless the item was placed by a player. Then if the minable table is in the prototype allow the player to mine it and show the animation. Or at least put another flag in minable table for animation if not make that available to be set without having to modify the prototype.
