While riging spidertrone, gates always consider player's spidertron speed to be directed upwards

One might wonder why the gates open for Spidertron at all. Can't a Spidertron step over and around them while they're closed?

They don't open for Spidertron at all. They open for a player who rides the spidertron.
It's interesting, that doors open in two directions when you use ASDW controls. First "wave" always points upward and seems to be affected by a spidertron speed (the only wave you get with remote control while sitting in the spiderton). And second wave is affected by the player speed and points in the proper direction.

Same question, though. The gates open for trains whether or not the player is in a train, because trains need to get through them. Spidertron doesn't need to get through a gate, does it?

Fixed in Version: 1.1.20
Fixed by making character in spidertron not open gates as it doesn't make sense.
