I tried my hand at making some posters fashioned after World War 2 propaganda.
(Source)
Titled "The Factory Must Grow" after the popular saying among players, these 3 posters were inspired by WW2 designs that you would have seen around, notably the artist Bert Thomas. I added the idea of "The Biter Wars" to allude to the typical game of Factorio, but also add importance (to follow suit with the WW2 inspiration). I wanted the posters to feel old and worn to prevent them from feeling too clean, too modern, because the game is dirty, gritty, and worn.

Please move this too the general for a bit! I believe not to many people scroll down enough to see this but it’s amazing! Are you planning to do anymore? Trains! Omg trains are gonna be good in a poster...

I might end up doing more posters - there seems to be lots of potential. Especially with trains. There's a few design changes I'd look at doing for a second series, though. Notably, change up the red.Gamatron332 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2020 10:44 pm Please move this too the general for a bit! I believe not to many people scroll down enough to see this but it’s amazing! I see that. Well I’ll be looking forward too it! I believe the one that incorporates the biter engineer relationship is the “send then shells!” Poster it speaks to me the most out of all of themlandmine752 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 5:36 am I might end up doing more posters - there seems to be lots of potential. for the people, for the republic, for the factory.
Re: Old Propaganda from the Biter Wars
This spreads a bit of Soviet industrial propaganda flair.
"Keep the factory running for the glory of our beloved country!"
in factorio this might translate to
"Keep the resources running for the glory of our beloved factory!"

Love it.
Bit of Gill Sans maybe? That was also the font used on the now clichéd "Keep Calm And Carry On" posters. https://fontsinuse.com/tags/619/world-war-ii

100% Helvetica - just as authentic (though some posters used 2 fonts). It's not a cheap font, though.Deadlock989 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 5:15 pm Love it.

Hey, I just loved them so much and want to print them. Could you share links for the posters?
