Changing train visualisation

As part of my mod I've changed trains so that the connection distance is 4 instead of 3, making it so that two adjacent wagons are 8 tiles apart, not 7 tiles.

However this means that the visualisations at train stops and rail signals are wrong, since they're still spaced 1 apart instead of 2 apart.

Is it possible to modify the visualisation of train previews?
