[1.0.0] Repair pack can't be used when inventory is open

Post by Svorkar »

Version 1.0.0 (build 54889, win64, steam)

When player inventory is opened, the repair packs cannot be used. This occurs regardless of if the pack is selected from the hotbar or the inventory. It makes sense to me that it would work regardless, as all other entities, including other consumables, function regardless.

Some googling found https://www.reddit.com/r/factorio/comme ... k/fciwk4n/
indicating other players encounter this but I was not able to find anything in game tooltips or on the wiki to indicate intended behavior. I was not able to find any previous bug reports on the forum.

This can be consistently replicated every time in save games created in 1.0.0 and older versions I tested (0.17.09-0).

Steps to replicate:
1. Open inventory
2. Select repair pack (from inventory or hotbar) and attempt to repair damaged object with left-click or bound hotkey.

Thanks for the report however I don't consider this a bug. Nothing about the repair logic says it should work with the main GUI open and I don't consider it worth changing. If one of the other developers wants to go tinker with the logic they're of course free to do so.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.

Sounds good, seemed odd to me so figured I'd report it. Thanks for the clarification!
