I've been playing this game since 2016 and have spent literally thousands of hours in game, and I just now figured out that the portable fusion reactor for your power armor is the Mr. Fusion home fusion reactor from Back To The Future.
4 years to connect the dots!
DOH!
4 years worth of stupid!
Re: 4 years worth of stupid!
To be fair, up until 2017 (v0.15) it was Iron Man's arc reactor

Re: 4 years worth of stupid!
LMAO! I did not know that. Hilarious.
Re: 4 years worth of stupid!
Did you notice the GJ value of nuclear fuel yet?
Re: 4 years worth of stupid!
1.21 Gj. lol! Thanks for pointing that out.
Technically it was 1.21 gigawatts in the movie, not gigajoules, but it is still 1.21gj!

Re: 4 years worth of stupid!
one watt times one second is one joule
1.21 gigawatts for one second is 1.21 gigajoules
A lightning strike could be approximated as lasting one second

Re: 4 years worth of stupid!
I'm no lightning expert, but that seems a very exegrated estimation. Wikipedia has this to say: "the average duration is 0.2 seconds made up from a number of much shorter flashes (strokes) of around 60 to 70 microseconds"
Re: 4 years worth of stupid!
I knew I recognized it from somewhere. I'll probably forget by tomorrow that it's Mr. Fusion and wonder again.

Re: 4 years worth of stupid!
dont worry it took me just as long to figure out where the reference "there is no spoon" came from . I spent the last 4 years thinking the devs had gone mad and named it jiberish
Re: 4 years worth of stupid!
It was jiggawatts, not gigawatts.
This post brought to you by pedantry.
Re: 4 years worth of stupid!
Fun fact, in the French dubbed version, it's pronounced Jiggowatts - or gigot-watt - (and it's 2.21, not 1.21 btw). A "gigot" is what's called the upper part of the rear leg of some herbivore like lamb, goat, or deer (the part that corresponds to a human tigh). So every time doc Brown says gigot-watt ... well you get the image.
