Thanks for the report. I have shortened this German locale text in the train GUI for the next release. I hope it will be fine for most UI scales and typical display resolutions.
Your case was marked as a duplicate, but I don't agree with that. With German locale the buttons disappear even at 100% UI scale, which is kind of a bug. Fixing it from the side of the locale text is more like a workaround, but it's better than nothing.
If you have more issues like this in the future, don't hesitate to open bug reports in the translation subforum.
