train ID unrecognizable when > 1000 trains

As far as I understand, the train ID is signal of type 'T' with the train number as its value.
However, I have placed more than 1000 trains and now the train ID value just says '1.2k' but of course this doesn't tell me the 10-digit and 1-digit.
How can I quickly identify my train? Or is this a bug that can be fixed?

I don't think there is an easy way. You'd have to run it through a combinator that subtracts 1000 to get the lost digits.
