I'm sorry if this is a repost - I have looked through other threads and I'm often reading patch notes but I may have missed something. This is actually my first ever bug report/post. Factorio has been pretty awesome and stable for me during all my years played so far.
========
I was setting up Nuclear power and suddenly lost all the U-235 that was in my Centrifuges after Cutting and Pasting the NON-blueprinted setup. Just a regular copy and paste for the bots to "move" the entities around. Screenshot below. Now, were the items being transitioned to the chests when it happend? Sorry I don't know. If I don't get relevant replies I may attempt to reproduce the bug again to help you guys out.
I thought I was being dumb and looked in my trash, logistics storage, inventory and you name it. Just disappeared. I wouldn't consider this bad if it wasn't the first 40+ U-235 lol, but hey it HAD to be that item type, so it hurt to lose that in a Vanilla game! I realized too late that I could reload past saves lol. Oh well. Experimental!

If you cancel a running recipe, the input materials are lost. If you think it was something else, post a save and steps to reproduce.

Yeah that happens with everything, you just never noticed before because pretty much nothing in the game is as expensive (to the player) as 40 U-235.

For what it's worth, Bilka cares: the Don't lose in progress ingredients mod.
