chests & performance

Post by MaexxDesign »

Hello factory owner,

just a simple question:

What is better for performance ?
- with chests
- without chests -respectively- as little as possible

The upper production line with just 3 chests (need them as a buffer) produces as many items per minute as the lower one.

Items on the ground are very bad for performance. If you need to chain 2 inserters, always use a chest.

You can use the red X to limit the chest to avoid it hoarding too many items.
