Is it actually PVP? I always thought this was co-op. Or do we get to decide on our play style and -root prefers PVP? I haven't tested multiplayer yet, and it seems like I won't be able to do so for some time because the game decided that it prefers crashing over playing.

Or maybe "PVP" was supposed to mean P2P?

I think what happened was someone griefed root by force-firing, and he got upset.

There's friendly fire, but not actual PVP, other than being trolled.

Don't use abbreviations. Never. And if you have to use them: Make sure people understand what they mean. I have no idea what "PSA" and "FFS" mean. Someone was nice enough to explain "FFS", but "PSA" is still unclear. And as you can see: Other people don't understand them, too.

"PvP" means somtimes: People can hurt other people. And sometimes it means: "It's the main goal to hurt other in the game.". The developers refer with "Coop" to the second meaning, -root to the first.

Until we get options when we create a multiplayer game is seems like the current settings they've gone for are the best to me. You can only shoot each other if you use C and science is communal. Works well for the MP game I'm playing.
Also works well for any potential youtube collabs...
