Is it possible to change map settings of exist map?

Is it possible to change map settings of exist map?

We started playing with a comrade on a map with a small number of bites. We thought that the number of bites would increase over time, but that was a mistake.
Now we have a huge factory and 130h+ of playing :shock: and we don’t feel like starting a new game, but we want to big war with biters.
There is a mod https://mods.factorio.com/mod/ChangeMapSettings but it doesnt work
I found a file named level-init.dat in save directory which looks like the map settings, but i have no idea, what can i do with it
Sry for bad english and possible miss forum section. I will be very grateful for the help
