What could be worse than manually building a diagonal walls in early game?.. It's not "hard", it's stupid and monotone, but at the same time it require so much concentration to just not place a wall where it shouldn't be... It's especially unpleasant for a deathworlds where you won't have a quick access to bots, and have to build a good defence from the start...
But what if we could place at least some small diagonal strip automatically — just like rails?..

Definitely a +1.
I like diagonal walls and most of the time building them while running diagonally works just fine. But if it doesn't it is a pain to remove the misplaced entities. Rail-planner-like behaviour would be really nice to have.
