Old Experimental Releases

Post by MakeItGraphic »

I want to try a mod pack but it needs an older version of Factorio no longer on the site .17.45. I've honestly tried installing larger mods since .16 came out and have all ways had issues to the point I don't play with them. So when I saw the mod packs I figured I'd give it a shot but no version available. And 17.79 just throws error endlessly.

Any hope for this?

EDIT:

Checked torrents just for the sake of it and they skip over this version. .43, .44, .47, .48

Will try .44 and .47 check the release notes and hope for the best

EDIT:

Was able to get .43, is a steam copy, and angels doesn't work on this version. Eeeks. .44 looked like a lot of fixes so probably something changed with mods then

EDIT: Managed .44 from another site, and angels still doesn't work. blah

EDIT: was able to fix angels I guess the pirated copies are missing files ... was able to frankenstein different versions together. But still error "Cycle in technology tree detected".

EDIT: Fixed that, have the game loaded now. But a lot is disabled due to version issues upwards of.47 :/. The thread I was looking at for Mastorio said .45.

Anyways whatever for now, if there is a way to legally download old versions I'd be elated to know! thanks

We specifically don't provide old experimental versions because they're buggy and we don't want people playing them. The mod(s) can always be updated; just someone has to do it.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.

Yeah, all right that makes sense. I've never personally had any luck with mod packs, but I understand where you're coming from.
