I just bought the game. last summer a friend told me about the game and I downloaded the free version to try it out. I liked it, but just did not get around to buying it until today. anyway, i can't download it after paying for it. Frustrating! My friend said when he purchased his a long time ago, he did not have any problems and apparently the set up is different now so he couldn't help me.
anyone out there can help me?

When I bought the game via www.factorio.com after I had logged in to www.factorio.com. It sent me my receipt of purchase to my email. Once that was confirmed, I went back to my profile, clicked on my user name at the top right of the screen. This led me to the info box with my username, email, and option to upgrade. I noticed that my email was written incorrectly so I edited it. Then I clicked "upgrade" which opened a box requesting my upgrade key. Needless to say, I could not type one in because the system did not send one to my email after more than 2 hours.
Hopefully I was clear.
TLDR: I purchased the game on factorio.com and got a receipt but no upgrade key.
