Dedicated server

Can anyone help, I have been trying to set up a dedicated server on Windows Server 2019.

I have watched various tutorials and on other forums but it seems to be that it loads the game but with no IP address.

I can connect locally but not from outside of my home network.

Is anyone able to help or offer any further advice ?

The path to your save file is wrong and you are trying to bind to an IP none of the adapters on your machine has.

Ok, I must be being very stupid here but how to I get it to the correct save and how would I assign it an IP address so that friends can connect to the server ?

Try to start you server without specifying an IP explicitly. Unless you have a special setup with multiple network interfaces, that should work.

You still will need to know your server's IP address or the DNS entry which resolves to your server in order to connect to your factorio server, though. Can you generally access your server machine from the outside? Is your server in your home network behind a router which does not forward IPs or ports?

The server is accessible from the outside, I have a minecraft server which is accessible.

How would I fix the save game fault as have done exactly what it says on forums and YouTube videos also.

The server has been port forwarded but it says has no up to connect to when I have got the server to run.

I can connect to the server on local host by putting in the local IP address
