Hi,
I've started to use bi-directional 1-2-1 trains for supply runs (building materials, fuel, etc).
I have a main depot (first screenshot) which is in the middle of everything.
I want to set up smaller depots farther away, so I came up with the design in the second screenshot.
The problem I'm running into is also in the second screenshot.
Even though there is plenty of space left in the main depot, trains are still trying to park at the small depot even though it's full already.
The third screenshot is the same idea just farther away from the main depot.
Any ideas how I can fix this? I don't think it's an LTN issue, but I can't figure this out.
Thanks in advance

Re: Weird pathing behavior
The path finder considers different things when assigning a station to a train:
- distance to station
- number of occupied blocks and / number of trains in the way
- station being currently being occupied
- red circuit controlled signals
Re: Weird pathing behavior
Pathing can't be changed by mods.
This has nothing to do with LTN.

Yep, not a mod issue, but someone using LTN might run into this depot issue if their map gets big enough.
Thanks @planetmaker, the distance was the issue. I added in a bunch of circuit controlled signals and it's fixed the issue.
The mini-Depot looks like a landing strip now lol.
Thanks for the help!

Re: Weird pathing behavior
Some of those 1-4-1 trains are not actually 2-way trains. It matters which way you place the locomotives, using R key when placing them down.
Re: Weird pathing behavior
All of the 1-4-1's are single direction and for main factories (ore, circuits, etc). The 1-2-1's are bi-directional and for building materials (miners, belts, rails, etc) and consumables (fuel).
