Passive Requester Chest

Post by Omricon »

I would really like to see the implementation of "Passive Requester Chests" Which are essentially "preferred" storage chests when it comes to moving items to a chest. A passive requester chest would be filled to selected capacity (or if it's full) before the robots fill storage chests. This allows for for more control on how the robots move items.

What would be the difference between a passive requester and a regular requester chest ?

Would a Buffer Chest satisfy this?

Isn't a storage chest with a filter setting and possibly a limit basicly the same thing? Apart from the fact that you can only set one filter

Storage automatically looks for storage chests with an item filter or a matching item to combine. Buffer chests do the same except more explicit, and remain lower priority than blue chests.

Buffer chest would request item from passive provider chest but the wording "passive requester chest" let me think that they aren't supposed to, that's why I think storage chest with filter fit more

Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.
