[SOLVED] Increase train impact damage?
[SOLVED] Increase train impact damage?
Is it possible without super extensive changes? I'd like to make my trains defeat all types of biters (and presumably me) with the lightest touch, but I don't want my trains or biters behaving any differently otherwise. My modding skills are limited to haphazardly poking through prototype files and changing values, and I didn't see an "impact damage multiplier" or anything like that.

Re: Increase train impact damage?
That mod's description seems to say it reduces impact damage...?
Also I was worried about modifying weight since I thought that might impact train acceleration/braking speed.

Re: Increase train impact damage?
The biter will be damaged higher, the train will be damaged lower. Is it increase or decrease of damage?kaijyuu wrote: Sun Jan 12, 2020 9:01 pm That mod's description seems to say it reduces impact damage...?
Re: Increase train impact damage?
Oooh, I see. Yeah that makes sense now.
Still, if I just copy/paste that train's stats to locomotives/cargo wagons, won't that affect acceleration? Was hoping for a way without that.

You are need to change the resistances, nothing else.kaijyuu wrote: Mon Jan 13, 2020 2:43 am Still, if I just copy/paste that train's stats to locomotives/cargo wagons, won't that affect acceleration?
Re: Increase train impact damage?
Negative resistances! Yes, that will work. Thank you
EDIT: If anyone else tries this, I got weird crashing behavior with absurdly high negative resistances (-100000 or so). Instantly killing behemoth biters seems to cause problems (trains jittering around/etc). So, I set "decrease" to -500 and this kills them fast enough and without crashes so far.
