Super slow FPS

Started a new game...played a few hours and saved all was fine...60 FPS
Came back next day opened game, and it's down to 6 fps....No robots yet, don't even have grey science researched. Limited builings and haven't expanded map too terribly far.

Playing as standalone on Mid 2015 MPB...16gb ram, SSD- HD

Does toggling vsync change anything?
