1.Unrealistic suggestion to increase realism.
2.Unneeded complexity to make gameplay worse.
3.Are you really hope to run ahead of electricity? You want to outrun not the burning speed, not the boiling speed, not the steam speed, not the turbine speed, but the electricity speed!

So in Factorio, the electric charge would travel about 4,666,666 meters every tick,Therefore, the speed of electricity in a 12-gauge copper wire is 299,792,458 meters per second x 0.951 or 285,102,627 meters per second. This is about 280,000,000 meters per second.
So it would travel across the whole maximum map size there and back every tick.
