What did you do? I loaded my game (attached). I pressed M to go to the map.
What happened? I saw that some chunks (specifically the 2 in the top left corner, 1 down) were black (unexplored) when they previously were visible. I then scrolled my mouse to look at an area of my map covered by a radar and hovered over some things in my factory. I went back to my map and saw that one of the chunks previously black was now visible as though I had a radar there. I zoomed into the chunk and saw it with radar detail.
What did you expect to happen instead? I would expect the two affected chunks to be visible as though they were explored, but not visible with a radar. I would expect them to stay whichever state they were without changing.
I'm quite lucky with this one. Because it happened right after loading a save, I managed to reload my save and get it to happen a few times. Sometimes one chunk was visible like I had a radar, sometimes the other one. Sometimes both eventually became visible. I managed to get it on video and it can be found at https://youtu.be/_Ix5JXfhKPw. I've also provided the save file.

But you do have at least 3 radar, and so they are slowly charting the map within their range exactly as you described.
Or am I misunderstanding what your issue with this behavior is?
