[0.17.69 - 0.17.x] Cannot join multiplayer

[0.17.69 - 0.17.x] Cannot join multiplayer
Whenever me or my friend try to host a server and the other wants to join the server, it says "Waiting for Server to Save" with a loading bar that doesn't move at all. This happens whenever we try to join a random server too. It actually worked once about a week ago but since then it hasn't been working. We just want to find a fix and play Factorio multiplayer. This happened in both stable 0.17.69 and 0.17.x (currently 0.17.74).

Post your log after a session with the issue.

It's been almost a month now, but the problem still persists, even after several reinstalls and I have even gone to previous versions where it did work but now it doesn't. I don't know what to do but it is kinda annoying
