[0.10.12] unknown control sequence alternative-build

Version 0.10.12

Error appear at 99% when loading game.
Error text in pop up window ..: Unknown control sequence alternative-build
It seem like the game do not create any "log" file that i could find.

How to reproduce..:
1). Install the 10.12 version Setup_Factorio_x64_0.10.12.exe ( Danish language )
2). I install the game on D:\factorio
3). run game
4). Game crash at 99% loaded and write the error..: Unknown control sequence alternative-build
5). WHen I click OK in the error pop up, the window closes and the game shut down ( CTD ).
( I never see the main menu or the enter code screen ).

The DEMO v10.12 also crash and also say the same error Unknown control sequence alternative-build

Im able to play the previous version named..: Setup_Factorio_x64_0.9.8.exe ( danish language ).

windows 7 64 bit ultimate
My computer is newly formatted so there are no previous versions of the game installed before installing ( 10.12 )
core i7 980X
12gb ddr 3 ram
nvidia 780
Various ssd drives.
All drivers are up to date, windows up to date.
avast antivirus ( tried to disable it while starting game but did not help ).

ps. Yes I did search the forum to see if a simulare bug was reported, I did not find any simulare bug. If this is a double post im sorry about it, I did try.

i have the exact same problem when i use the exe to install and run factorio.

a workaround for this is to download the zip of the game instead of the exe file and run it from there.

Try deleting the config file, cause the messages looks like that the key for the alt-view (the ALT-key-switch) is broken somehow.

I think i solved the problem with the error Unknown control sequence alternative-build

Solution..: When I ingame change the language to "Danish" and restart the game, then I will get the error Unknown control sequence alternative-build.
if I use the EXE install file and select Danish language, then I also get the error Unknown control sequence alternative-build
However the game work if I choose "English".

So basicly do not use the Danish language, but use default English language then the game work.
So the bug is related to the Danish translation of the game.. ( maybe the config path to the danish translation file is wrong, result in an error ? )

Danish Bug Fix

Thank you for the FIX.

I can confirm that when using the fix, then the game start and work with Danish Language.
