Factorio Shorts

Hi everyone, I'm going to be doing a series of short clips loosely based around The Hydra Dilemma, and also my own ideas of what multiplayer will be like, called Factorio Shorts. As they're short videos (most under a minute long) I won't be uploading individual clips to my channel, but putting them here in gif format. Then when I get a good amount of them(5 or 6) I'll put them all together into one clip and put them on my channel.

Obviously due to limitations in the gif format, some clips won't be the same here as they will be in the video.

But... could you make them a bit larger? (or am I the only one having trouble reading the text?)

I can but I'm working with imgur which had a 2mb file size limit.



Edit: I'm hosting them somewhere else now so I've made them bigger.

I noticed there's a lot of noise in your animation frames. This significantly increases file size.

Maybe recording to a lossless format before you convert to gif would help reduce noise.

You can also set game.alwaysday=true to prevent lighting from changing.

Aye, I have that set already.

Hmm.. I'm not sure where the noise is coming from, I record lossless then I have to edit for obvious reasons. Might be because I'm rendering the final edit in the same setting I use for YouTube? But when I make the gif in Photoshop all the frames look fine. I'll look into it anyway.

I realised something that might come useful for you. If you hold spacebar while swicthing to camera mode, the character will have shooting state on shoot enemies.
