Introduction: Gun does not work

Hey guys,

I am playing the Introduction (v0.17.69) campaign. When biters show up for the second time at your base ("Aggressive creature inside factory. Press the Spacebar key to fire."), my gun will not fire when I press Spacebar. I have attached the save file. Do you have any ideas? Thank you in advance!

Works flawless once there are actually enemies in range.

Spacebar only fires when you're *near* enemies. You can shoot at random things with "C", but you can't fire "into the air", you always need a target.
