The blueprints icon should be available earlier

Right now, when you research Construction robots you "unlock" blueprints, the blueprint book, delete-prints and upgrade-prints (no idea how they are actually called) in your slot-bar on the side.

I feel like you should be able to get that from the start. It's really annoying how an empty blueprint, that you might just use to count, takes away a place in your inventory, same with the other ones and I use it for myself without robots too. So I don't feel like there is a need to lock that feature until you have the robots

Once a shortcut has been unlocked it is available in all future games. So the problem you describe only happens to new players or if you completely reinstall the game.

Additionally, `/unlock-shortcut-bar` can be used to unlock the shortcuts at any time.

Yes to both the blueprint library icon in the top and the keyboard shortcuts.

Then for me, it was most likely have been caused when my Windows 10 crashed and I had to reinstall everything from my backups. I must have missed something when I restored my Factorio files. Totally my fault. (2nd time in several years I had to reinstall Windows due to me doing something stupid.)
