Belts are turning. Other objects turn on their own
Belts are turning. Other objects turn on their own
I am getting bugs where the transport belts are turning and causing carried items to move onto other belts or stop. Also objects are turning like oil plants, mining rigs, and other objects just turn on their own. This just started. I dont know if its windows or the new version of the game. I recently updated windows. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game with same results.Very frustrating..
Re: Belts are turning. Other objects turn on their own
Thanks for the report. Are you pressing the "R" key or "Shift + R" when hovering over things in the game? That key does exactly what you describe.

Re: Belts are turning. Other objects turn on their own
No objects are rotating by themselves. The only ones that dont seem to rotate are the train tracks. Belts , inserters, assembling machines, underground belts all rotate on their own. It doesnt hap[pen constantlysa, however it seems to happen more when I am walking near them. Its very frustrating when I have objects placed on belts going to incorrect belts because the belt rotated. I have deleted and reinstalled the game, this just started about 3 weeks ago.

In Settings => Controls, what do you have in the rotate / Reverse rotate lines ?

Same as pictured here. I have not altered any of the settings. I just looked and I have 89 days in here lol. so this was not a problem 4 weeks ago..

Are you using any mods?

Re: Belts are turning. Other objects turn on their own
My guess is you are accidentally hitting the R key, either because you make mistakes typing or your keyboard is broken.
Re: Belts are turning. Other objects turn on their own
I swear this has happened to me as well a few times, but I couldn't entirely outrule the possibility of having hit R at a very unfortunate timing, which seemed by far like the most simple explanation, so I fixed it and moved on.
