While playing 0.17.60 I got a dialogue popup something like 'unable to allocate xxx to swap' or something similar. I hit OK and tried to save, then the game crashed out.
Unclear if this is one of the new mods I added recently or what.
I've got 16 GB Ram and about 8 GB RAM free when not playing. Disk drive has 90+ GB free.
I will update this post if I get a re-occurence.

I have tried to mark the mods updated/installed recently, not sure I got them all.

Re: [0.17.60] crash unable to allocate something to swap
Thanks for the report. Looking at the log file it's showing that your page file is almost 100% full: 18359/18364 MB used. Most likely the OS is failing memory allocation requests for Factorio because of that - since you still seem to have some free physical memory available.
You can try turning off parallel sprite loading but that's only going to delay the problem. The root cause is: you're using up all of the memory on the computer and then trying to launch a memory intensive application. You should be quitting other programs you have open or buying more RAM.

If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.
Re: [0.17.60] crash unable to allocate something to swap
Can you make a screenshot of the dialog? That's not our error message. It's weird that it crashes on memory allocation when you still have 8 GB free RAM; I'd start with updating chipset drivers for your motherboard.
Alternativelly check your Virtual Memory settings (https://howtofixwindows.com/adjust-virt ... indows-10/) but that doesn't solve problem why Windows can't use your entire RAM.

Re: [0.17.60] crash unable to allocate something to swap
Thanks everyone, I have not actually been able to reproduce this yet. I restarted once or twice and have not had re-occurrence... so maybe it was something transient on my end (sounds likely). maybe this can be closed out?
