"/" to open chat *and* insert itself into the field

I use in-game chat much more for commands than, well, talking. I'd love to have the same feature as a bunch of other games that also combine the chat / command input field, being able to hit "/" and have it put me in a console text field with the "/" already in place.

Sure, it saves me literally one keystroke, and by binding "/" to open chat I even just have to press the same key twice, but what is life if we don't automate everything?

I'm not wedded to the notion that "/" be a fixed key or whatever, just to "press one key, get to 'entering a command' mode"
