Hello,

I have realy an idea to make more funy the game, but I don't know how code it ?

The idea is simple : we are a colony of (abstract) Galactic Empire, and there is a (fictive) Emperor.
Emperor send a new Request like in game Caesar III :

Concretely, "Emperor Request Mod" have to :
  • New Request sended (show by message in pop up) each X minutes (X is an option in start game menu), but more time past, more complicated request gone (multiple ressources asked, and improve the quantity etc...).

    REQUEST =>
    • A random ressource(s) (compatible with bob mods and other, can be loop on list of existing ressources no ?)
    • A random quantity (may be a % calculated on total of number ressources discover on map at the creation's date of the request)
    • A random time (adjustable in game options) to ask at this request (proportional to the quantity required)
  • Each popup request have the icon of ressources needed, the goal (current unit on unit required) and the remaining time to respond at this request

    EXEMPLE : [IRON-icon] Iron : 3642 / 100 000 | 15 minutes left (like in tuto scenario)
  • Request resolver :
    At the end of the time allotted for the request, remove the good number of each ressources of the request ONLY in all safes, if ressources are present in inventory or on conveyor belt, they are ignored.

Uniq rule : if a request is not satisfied in allotted time : GAME OVER !


Comment :

This will greatly revive the interest of the game, while putting a permanent stress stroke that would make the game even more fun (and coop).
It will also add intermediate game objectives: to get off the planet (to escape the slavery of the empire) by creating the spaceship (like normal game), pretending to be submissive and answering the requests of the emperor!


What do you thinking about that? :)


EDIT : must be a proportional ratio between quantity needed in request and number of player, obviously (adaptable difficulty)

The Emperor is actually the Emperor of the Biters. Comply or your base will be razed. Just leave the geld outside the gates, there's a good pet.

The scenario reminds me of Mining Space Industries (judging from the mod description), although there is no emperor in MSI. :-)
A good mod deserves a good changelog. Here's a tutorial (WIP) about Factorio's way too strict changelog syntax!

Sounds like the Homeworld (reloaded) mod, only with a king instead of an entire planet. :)

Nobody have coded a mod like I search since V1.0+ ?

it really lacks intermediate objectives with stress shots in this game, and this timed and mandatory request system will bring that!
