[kovarex] [0.17.49] Trains can pass thru each other at speed.

NB this is not trains passing between cargo wagons, this is trains passing thru the middle of each other.

What did i do,

I made a 3 way intersection where the trains could pass thru each other and didn't block each other without any chain signals.

I made a post about it on reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/factorio/comme ... on_design/ that includes a gif and the blueprint string.

What happened?

Its a LHD T junction and trains turning right pass straight thru each other.

What did I expect to happen?

The trains to not pass thru each other but stop at signals.

So all trains need to phase through another is for track hitbox to not detect crossing rails?
That might make tunnel/bridge rails really easy to mod in.

Here was the situation with two diagonal rails, they can be placed too close and two trains have collision. Not anymore?

Wow! :D. If the engine "can already do it" it'd be rather nice if it stayed moddable even if it's disabled for vanilla. (But i fear there are more complicated implications.)
