Game freezes every 13 seconds

I just purchased the game yesterday from Steam. I'm running Windows 10 (1903) 64bit, 16 gb Memory, i7 Intel cpu, (2) GTX980ti, installed on an SSD. When playing the game it freezes every 13 seconds for about 2 seconds. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software. I'm current running 10 Ping, 160 dn, 9 up for internet. I'm at a loss...

Is this happen only in singleplayer or only multiplayer?

Could you please post your logfile, in addition to a screenshot of the debug info you get with F5 ?

Hello, can you try to opt-into experimental version 0.17? When the game is not running, open Factorio properties in Steam Library, navigate to Betas tab and opt into "0.17.x - Latest 0.17 experimental" beta branch.

Factorio seems to kill my GPU Clock Speed to 135MHz and Load to 0% when it freezes.

Just Finished playing Rainbow 6 Siege without any issues.

Well I have tested the save you provided, and as you might expect, it works flawlessly on my computer. So the issue is on yours.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to guess what the issue is, but I'm pretty bad at that for Factorio, so chances are somebody better at that than me will be able to pinpoint it

The only thing that draws y attention is the maximum number on game update. It's the manifestation of what you reported.

Did you ever get a chance to test if it still happens with just one of your graphics cards by physically removing the other?

Hey, Rseding told me he was communicating with you on Discord and he thinks there is some problem with your computer. Klonan forwarded me perf-stats from you, but it didn't help to put more light on the problem, just confirmed the game update is hanging.

I finally figured out how move forward with diagnosis - please download and install CPU profiler Very Sleepy. It's free and very light weight (just 4 MB download). Run it, then launch Factorio and reproduce the issue.

When the game starts freezing, Alt+Tab to Very Sleepy, click Refresh so it updates list of running processes and then find and select factorio.exe in the list (you may want to sort the list by name, to find it better).
Check "Profile for set time(s)". You can leave it at 100 sec, the game should freeze few times during that interval, or you can increase it a little bit, but it shouldn't need to be much longer.
Then click on Profile All
As it starts capturing for given time interval (it'll show dialog with progress bar), Alt+Tab back to the game to make sure freezes are still happening. You can try to play or let it just run "afk"
After 2 minutes Alt+Tab back to Very Sleepy, it should be finished with capture; Use "Save as" in File menu to save it to the file and post it here or email it to us, please.

It should help to narrow down what is freezing in the game update.

just for the lulz, if youi run speccy while getting freezes, you dont see high temperatures at GPU or CPU?

CPU never goes above 32c (Water Cooled CPU)
GPU1 never goes above 31c
GPU2 never goes above 27c
