Pressing "E" to close window no longer working if mousing over said window (latest experimental builds)

What subject says. Am I the only one who finds this more / less unplayable? E closes windows but no longer works. You have to move your mouse outside of the window first, which makes no sense and adds an extra, unintuitive step to closing the window.

This needs to be fixed!
