[0.17.28] Update to 0.17.30 and 0.17.31 failed

For some reason 0.17.29 is the latest release on the forums and the in game updater wants to update me to 0.17.30.
But

it failed.
This is a pretty common bug that often happens when I go from [0.X.Y] to [0.X.Y+2] and the updater ALWAYS fail when I go from [0.X.Y] to [0.X+1.Z].

Pretty please, don't force me to do a complete reinstall so often, keep the updater updated :'<

Failed again trying to update to 0.17.31 from 0.17.28.
The game is restarting while updating I think so I'm uploading both current and previous for this failure.

Thanks for the report however there's nothing to do here with this. Files are missing on your system and so when the updater tries to update them and can't find them it fails.

What do you mean? I haven't deleted any Factorio files, I only touch my user data. If files are missing it's because they were always missing or the updater removed them. So then the bug is that Factorio is missing files in some versions or erroneously deletes needed files.

And if a file is missing then the updater shouldn't fail, it's purpose is to download the files I'm missing. If it fails because files are missing then it fails because it is needed.
