I looked into Amators mods, found them quite fun and challenging in some aspects (recycling) which I really like and would like to spread throughout the game. I looked briefly into the trouble and found out this:
Having full bobs, full amator and full Py works ok; but when you put in the mix also full Angels, you get this error message. Basic electonic components recipe gets broken, most probably after Angels mod, which overrides it over bob, meets the Amators recycling, which adds scrap to it.
I am interested in looking into it further (with my limited time-resources and knowledge), but it would be great help if anybody knows, whic Angels mod changes basic electronic components recipe...?

PS: About Xander. As far as it is on timetable still, I read that Therax is interested to make unofficial port to 0.17. If it becomes a reality, I would suggest to wait for him to make the port, then start to plan to make compatibility for it. It might make it easier, because as far as I tryed to navigate through Repofme´s code, I wasnt able even to find definition of all his resources (which baffels me still...)

I dont remember which mod it is but if you look at it in the crafting menu the tool tip should list all mod names that have edited that item. Which while I'm think about it. Its probably petrochem/smelting editing the carbon and the copper and tin wires.

And ya a .17 port of Xanders would be better as it be a lot of extra work to go back do .16 version just for that mod

Indeed petrochem it is. I was able to make work Amator recycling by simply disabling modification of basic electronic components recipe, but I am still having trouble with Amator Coal and Steam, as I can´t find simple solution like "disable one thing."
This might be hidden in some compatibility functions of this mod, as Amator has startup settings to switch on-off compatibility mode for bobs, angels, AAI and such.
I contact Amator about this issue.
PS: Lets wait then for Therax or mod´s original author to port it, then think about making it compatible with full Py. Thank you for your kind interest :)

I tried leaving only PyBA & Pycoaltbaa, same happens. As soon as I remove Py's, everything works.

EDIT: No, apparently Bob updated his mods as well.. This is an error with previous bobs and newest Py's:

Gonna try and downgrade Py's as well now and see what happens...

FINAL EDIT: Updated all mods to the latest (except Deadlock's Stacking 4 Pyanodon, which remains stable at 0.50, the latest 3 versions crash), re-added bioindustries and spacex, deleted mod settings, commented out line 232 from PyCoalTbaa and only now it works... Someone smarter may actually conclude wtf happened here, but if this mess of a post helps anyone, great.

P.S. Thanks for a quick response today on your Pyblock run on YT :)

Can anyone help me get this resolved?! -.-* I wish I could play my savegame again...

I run Version 17.24 but I get the same error on newer versions. But on 17.32 Angel Smelting gives the error "djubre7" postet.

so i know whats causing this issue but its going to take a bit to get it fixed as theres no way that i know of to fix it without having to make adjustments to angels refining or pyro.

can you send me that save file. im getting that first error from djubre7 dealt with and when thats done ill go from there on getting any errors stopping your game from working.

Afternoon Kingarthur.

Thought I'd post this here rather than in Pymods as I'm running the full Bob/Angel stack. Trying out the new petroleum Pymod, with the latest and greatest pre-requisites loaded. I get this error:

Well that was quick. Probably the best place for that as I wrote that code that broke. I haven't done any work on pyph and angel / Bob compatibility yet.

Does the error happen with only abpy active. Something doesnt like my hot air script and I'll be looking into Bob and Angel's asap but nice to know if there is anything else causing issues

Disabling Bobs/Angels (and nothing else - I, like many, run with a huge mod list!) makes the error go away (though I also disabling your compatibility mod for obvious reasons!) I'll twiddle the mods some more to see if I can narrow it down.

*edit* the error reappears with Bobs enabled and Angels disabled.

Ok. I just wanted to make sure if it was a Bob/angel issue. That's not to difficult to work through. Gets a lot harder if it's not a major mod pack to know which one of dozens of mods are involved. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen it take 4 or 5 mods in a specific combination to trigger an error only if they are all together. I'll be working over Bob's and Angel's over the next few days to get them updated for pyph. Depending on how many errors pop up it might take a couple of days if it is more than one or 2 issues crashing factorio.

My problem is at this moment I don't know anything about PY, and if I don't have a playthrough to such a big mod, I feel very uncomfortable to mod this or make a compatibility without braeking anything.

There is no problem to build in a compatibility layer into my mods if someone can say me what is needed.

And please cross post such things also to my thread or under discussion on my mod page, that was absolutely coincidence to have seen this here! :)
