For my factories, I always create a "user" train, which is basically my personal transport if I need to go somewhere else in my base. However, when you start hitting around 20 destinations, you start needing to scroll quite a lot with the new train GUI.
Would it be possible to have a toggle in the train GUI somewhere to switch to a condensed view, which would hide the conditions, and probably make the station names a bit smaller to allow for more to be visible at once ?
New Train GUI less usable for trains with lots of destinations
Re: New Train GUI less usable for trains with lots of destinations
Could be nice. I also use personal train, and new station list is too long.
I'd say right of switch automatic-manual, a checkbox or switch show/hide conditions (switch state saved for each train individually) will solve the problem.

Completely agree.
Another way to handle it is how most UIs do it:
- Normally don't show the conditions. But have an button on the right of a row that when clicks "expands it" letting you see the conditions for that item as you see them now in 0.17.
- once expanded, the button's icon gets replaced with one to collapse it.
- Commonly used icons are +/- or v/^, or up/down arrows.
