[0.17.1] cursor not showing total amount of items

The shortcuts on the toolbar are showing the total amount but when you pick anything into your hand you only have the stack limit.

Stacks in the cursor are still normal stacks

i was also under the impression that the full item count was going to be displayed in the curser and not just the stack amount.
Please reconsider this.

I've just noticed this too and I would find it useful to have a total ammount of items dispayed in the cursor while I am building something.

• While a player is building stuff he cares about the total ammount of things he has in his inventory
• When a player wants to place those items into machines it is useful to see stacks, since machines accept stacks/half-stacks

Would it be possible to have both? For example display total items by default, but if hovering over an entity with inventory display stacks?

I just want to see the total amount. I don't care about the stack size.
