[0.17.17 or .21] Fluid mixing: Uranium miner accepts lubricant

Post by lvllord »

Hello there,

I had the problem, that I accidently railed lubricant instead of sulfuric acid to my uranium mine.
Since it was a new one the tank was empty. The tank accepted the lubricant (the tank was directly attached to the pump) and the miners good flooded with lubricant and even saved it inside them.
When I saw my mistake I reversed the pump, but the miners still had the lubricant in their system. So I had to remove the whole piping and miners and replace them.

Mods used: MazeWorld 0.7.0
Don't know which version it was, since it was late that day and I waited with updates because of some problem.

I will do some tests later this day to see if it's a mod or miner problem. But I wanted you to be informed before.

Thanks for the super game and your great support :)

You can only pump fluids out of a miner if the pump is connected directly to it.

The miners do not have any limitations on accepted fluids, they just don't work without the right one.
The draining is more complicated in the old fluid model, should become easy once it is replaced.

Is it not possible to re-use the same functionality that makes it impossible to connect pipes with different fluids?

Here can be the same filter as in steam engine, but who cares about this situation.

Yeah I think so. There were some reasons against it though but I will have a look.

Yeah well, in theory the miner can be used for different resources that require fluid and will mine whichever one it has fluid for. So can't be done.

What's happening when one miner has two ores, both with various mining-with-fluid property?
Needs the miner two input fluid boxes?

No, as I wrote - it will mine the ore which it has the fluid for.
