Help with Traffics

I build a beautiful crossing, but i am too dumb to set propper traffic lights. Can someone give me some advise ?
'frei5' is the name of my world, just if u want to build it by urself.

Chain signal before a crossing. Regular signal after. With multiple tracks crossing in a row you can put chain signals after another (and a regular at the very end) if you want trains to make it further into the intersection before they may have to stop. Instead of making the whole intersection one block

Also regular signals before merging two tracks
