[0.17.15] Control combos do not obey setxkbdmap on Linux (p lz delete, dup)

Post by iam2391212 »

I use
setxkbmap -option ctrl:nocaps
to change the behavior of my caps lock key to control in my Linux environments. This works fine when running 0.16.51, but the upgrade to 0.17.x has changed the behavior (seen in both the latest 0.17.15 and the earliest version I can get from steam, 0.17.4).

The current behavior is that when holding the CapsLock key and right clicking to split stacks for instance, it will start deconstructing the building. When trying to update keyboard controls in the settings, I can remap a control to just <LEFT CTRL> using the CapsLock key, but when trying to map something to <CONTROL + Right mouse button> using the CapsLock key, it will bind the key as just <Right mouse button>.

Happy to provide Linux/XOrg versions if you think they'll be useful, but again, this works fine on 0.16.51 with my current setup.

Last log. Tried changing a setting to use <CTRL-Right click> and just registered < Right Click >. Same button can register a < Left Ctrl > keybind.

Dont know how to delete. Just saw a post at the top of the stack talking about keycode vs scancode change, my forum-search-foo failed me :(
