Updating my mod on the website.

Post by 5thHorseman »

Am I a moron? I updated my mod for 0.17 and see nowhere on the website (mods.factorio.com) to upload it. I could upload a new mod but I don't want that. I seem to have updated it a year ago, one time. If I upload it as new, will the site just figure it out?

Thanks! I never would have clicked that button on my own in the download page, because I clicked it on the main page and there was no way to upload there. And when you then go to the download page, the "edit" button doesn't move at all so it looks like it's the same button.

I guess this is the kind of thing I get for only updating my mod when the major version changes :D

When I want update my mod then I need click to "download" tab.
I want to do it in the "edit" tab while I want edit it.

Agreed. There should be an obvious "update" button, maybe even a 5th tab or something. Or at least change the name of the edit button in the downloads page to "upload new version" or something.

Near of "Submit mod" must be "Submit update", all information is already in the zip archive.

Yeah i struggled at this point too once and so am willing to help here.

Also i support all requests to make it more obvious aka better design choices.
